It is with lots of humility and honour that I have taken up the responsibility of heading the SSN Engineering College as its Principal. A highly esteemed institution, SSNE-IT has attained both national and international acclaim in the last few years. The time has come to consolidate all the new initiatives that were taken to strengthen SSN as a multidisciplinary institution. SSN has transformed into a multi-campus Institute that offers sixteen postgraduate programmes, and it has also witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of students enrolling in various Engineering disciplines. My  Responsibilities will primarily focus upon:

• Providing quality education and strengthening SSNE-IT’s leadership in the field of IT through knowledge and research based programmes.
• Addressing the need to foster a culture of responsible and value centric Engineering education that is rooted in the traditional and cultural ethos of India.
• Transforming SSNE into a versatile institution which nurtures the philosophy of multi-dimensional learning.
• Retaining and attracting quality faculty, academicians, Engineers, researchers and professionals.
• Introducing focused training initiatives for the Engineering faculty through Faculty Development Programmes. This will cater to India’s growing need for skilled design educators.
• Strengthening the Institute’s relations with internationally acclaimed Engineering institutes, in order to acquire a global perspective on Engineering.
• Developing educational programmes which have wider social implications and technological excellence.
• Investing in intellectual property for the generation of knowledge capital.
• Strengthening SSN-IT interaction with institutions dealing with diverse disciplines such as technology, management, humanities and social sciences, and thereby fostering a fruitful exchange of knowledge and ideas.
• Focusing on emerging domains of global concerns.
• Reviewing the curriculum to make Engineering education more contextual.
